Carpenter Waterfowl Park

This 63-acre park is situated along the Black Fork River. Twenty acres of seasonal wetlands, built by US Fish and Wildlife, host flocks of waterfowl during spring and fall migrations. Trails, with bridges, wind through grasslands, forests and wetland meadows. The park provides access to boating and riverbanks for fishing. There is excellent bird watching — from red headed woodpeckers to sandhill cranes to prothonotary warblers.
